To say this is not your ordinary revitalization book is to put it mildly. Most books on revitalization start with techniques and strategies necessary to see revitalization happen. It seems many believe that if you just do the things in these books, the church will grow numerically and grow in health.
Robert, on the other hand, focuses on perspective and orientation. His basic premise is that before you start doing steps to move toward revitalization, it is important to have a right perspective (focus) concerning what God wants of His church and then to gain the right orientation (direction) before starting out on the journey of revitalization.
